Our team members have diverse sets of skills and experience, but they all have two things in common: a passion for their work and a commitment to our clients.
The Apero Solutions team is led by industry professionals, each with decades of experience in distribution, software development, IT, and technology.
Our in-house experts constantly strive to find new and innovative approaches to make work processes more efficient, integrated, and collaborative.
Meet your Apero Team
Director of Technology
Darrin Brown has been studying and working in the IT field since 1985 and has built a vast array of experience and knowledge in Unix/Linux, Progress, and many other technologies. He continues to develop in technical related areas, which include product integration, CRM, BI, cloud computing, network architecture, VoIP, and system security/encryption.
Darrin makes his home in Edmonton, AB where he resides with his wife and four children. When he manages some free time away from work, he enjoys camping, photography, spending time with family and friends, and studying physics.
IT Professional Services
Andre LeBlanc has spent his career in IT infrastructure and operations. His range of experience includes system administration, solution architecture, project management and supporting mission-critical production environments. His responsibilities encompass support for Apero developers and business users, as well as our customers. His expertise spans a wide array of technologies and he loves new challenges. However, he will admit that he has a soft spot for Linux/Unix. Andre’s priority is always to provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients.
Andre loves Edmonton and often frequents our beautiful river valley for picnics and walks with his family and friends.
Senior Software Designer, Developer
Randy is the Pinpoint warehouse automation software designer and senior developer.
He wears lots of hats at Apero, which include looking after warehouse RF hardware setup and customization, Pinpoint databases, intersystem communication and coding/customizing the Pinpoint WMS system for Apero’s clients.
Randy is known for finding the best internet deals and sharing them with us – we think that he is getting spiffs from the sellers on the side!
Senior Software Developer & EDI Expert
Tim graduated from DeMonfort University in the UK and has over 25 years of experience as a software engineer. He has coding skills in multiple languages: Progress ABL, Visual Basic/Access, PHP, Perl, C/C++, and supports many databases, i.e. Progress, MS SQL, mySQL.
Tim’s role at Apero includes development and support with many key products including EDI, Pinpoint Interface, Web store, Clippership interface, B/I.
Tim is fondly known by his teammates as the Thermostat Ninja – he’s too quick at cranking the heat up to get caught. Tim only appears grumpy in his meet-up picture. His only daughter recently graduated high school and like any dad, he is fighting back tears of pride!
Customer Support & Implementation Specialist
Dave is a Pinpoint Support specialist that came to us after many years of managing warehouses and using Apero’s Pinpoint WMS in a distribution center for 3 years. His experience "where the rubber meets the road" is a huge asset when it comes to helping anyone from end users through to management to get the most from Apero’s WMS product.
This overgrown kid is always pranking, riding his mountain bike and playing with his LEGO.
Senior Software Developer
Leya graduated as a software engineer in 1990 out of Havana, Cuba.
As a software developer in the Progress language, she works with product managers and the Apero support department to develop customer-centric solutions.
She assists in resolving application defects and the addition of new enhancements. She uses techniques to create and maintain application components, analyze different coding challenges, and propose efficient solutions.
She is also instrumental in Latitude’s integration to the Cyberquery report tool and Apero’s custom built reports.
Leya is a mother of two daughters and married to a wonderful Canadian man for over 20 years. Outside of work, she loves to travel and spend time with her family and friends.
She’s so grateful to live in Canada and have the opportunity to work in this great company.
For 25+ years, Alison’s career has revolved around developing people, their knowledge, and finding creative ways to support the end user with a relentless focus on delivering exactly what people need to be confident, skilled and effective.
“Whether delivering documentation, training or sustainable solutions – making a positive impact is what gets me out of bed every day. I love technology and using truly intelligent applications to their full capabilities. Working with the amazing people and products at Apero has been the best experience and most welcomed challenge of my career.”
Alison is an avid “garage saler” and treasure restoration enthusiast. She groans, staggers and dances her way through the annual Zombie Walk and Thrill the World to support the Calgary Food Bank (and her love of all things horror!). She does not consider trendy / buzz words to be a form of serious communication.
