Our team members have diverse sets of skills and experience, but they all have two things in common: a passion for their work and a commitment to our clients.
The Apero Solutions team is led by industry professionals, each with decades of experience in distribution, software development, IT, and technology.
Our in-house experts constantly strive to find new and innovative approaches to make work processes more efficient, integrated, and collaborative.
Meet your Apero Team
Joan began her career in distribution in the early 1980’s. She spent 23 years as an end user with a Western Canada HVAC company before migrating into the ownership role for Apero. She has been exposed to several business models and operates on experience and intuition.
Her passion lies in sharing knowledge with those who love to learn. Her best audience is looking for new ways to gain efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity within their business and their environment.
Joan is a shoe-aholic and resists rehab because it’s too much fun to have too many pairs. She loves taking easy money from Oscar who doesn’t learn but keeps betting. Seeing Twitch every day at the office is a plus.
A wife, a mom and a grandma, she’s extremely proud to have these roles—because she earned them!
Sophy Nathanail has over 30 years of experience in the ERP software and distribution industry. Implementing software solutions in the wholesale distribution industry has taken her to all corners of the world, including the USA, Australia, Europe, North, South, and Central America and, of course, Canada.
Sophy holds a bachelor's degree in education. She began her career in the technology industry writing documentation, which led to roles in software testing, implementing, and ultimately designing solutions that fulfilled client business processes and software requirements.
In January of 2011, with her partner Joan Chambers and an expert team of development and support staff, Apero Solutions Inc. was born.
Sophy resides in Calgary, Alberta with her husband Al. They love spending time with family…especially the grandkids! In her free time, Sophy loves experimenting in the kitchen (as long as Al is taking on clean up duties), summers in her backyard garden, travelling for “fun” and volunteering with numerous charities involving women and children in need. Her current passion is the Canadian Progress Club Elevate, which supports local Calgary charities.
Being Nonna to three young grandchildren has become her best exercise and recreational activity to date!

His range of experience includes system administration, solution architecture, project management and supporting mission-critical production environments. His responsibilities encompass support for Apero developers and business users, as well as our customers. His expertise spans a wide array of technologies and he loves new challenges. Andre loves Edmonton and often frequents our beautiful river valley for picnics and walks with his family and friends.
After obtaining her diploma in business/office administration, Karen went on to work for 20+ years in the distribution industry. Randy is the Pinpoint warehouse automation software designer and senior developer.
He wears lots of hats at Apero, which include looking after warehouse RF hardware setup and customization, Pinpoint databases, intersystem communication and coding/customizing the Pinpoint WMS system for Apero’s clients.

He is a nature enthusiast and has a passion for creating YouTube videos for his fans to follow. He has a great love and appreciation for animals and their well-being. Dave is a Pinpoint Support specialist that came to us after many years of managing warehouses and using Apero’s Pinpoint WMS in a distribution center for 3 years. His experience "where the rubber meets the road" is a huge asset when it comes to helping anyone from end users through to management to get the most from Apero’s WMS product.
This overgrown kid is always pranking, riding his mountain bike and playing with his LEGO.

She’s so grateful to live in Canada and have the opportunity to work in this great company.
For 25+ years, Alison’s career has revolved around developing people, their knowledge, and finding creative ways to support the end user with a relentless focus on delivering exactly what people need to be confident, skilled and effective.
“Whether delivering documentation, training or sustainable solutions – making a positive impact is what gets me out of bed every day. I love technology and using truly intelligent applications to their full capabilities. Working with the amazing people and products at Apero has been the best experience and most welcomed challenge of my career.”
Alison is married to an up-and-coming stand-up comedian who is tied for 1st place for “most amazing man I know” with her son (the balance may tip this year because he’s making her a Grandma!).
Alison is an avid “garage saler” and treasure restoration enthusiast. She groans, staggers and dances her way through the annual Zombie Walk and Thrill the World to support the Calgary Food Bank (and her love of all things horror!). She does not consider trendy / buzz words to be a form of serious communication.
